Bamboo flooring answers many of the most forward-looking trends in flooring.  Today’s consumer is looking for beautiful, natural materials that have been responsibly harvested and are environmentally friendly.  Also, the clean, simple lines of the Orient are increasingly popular in today’s decorating trends. 

Bamboo answers all those needs with a floor that is warm underfoot, easy to install and clean, and is beautiful to look at.  Best of all, bamboo is a renewable resource, as it is harvested from a plant (actually a grass) that regenerates very quickly.

We have bamboo flooring in horizontal and vertical styles, in natural, carbonized, and NEW! designer colors.  Bamboo can be installed either as a glue down installation, or nailed down if using the ¾” product.

When buying bamboo flooring, use care when selecting a source!  There are a number of brands being sold over the Internet that are shipped without proper drying and processing.  This can lead to serious problems after installation, such as cracked or warped boards, mildew, or shrinkage.  Our bamboo comes from top-quality sources and has been carefully dried and stabilized to resist shrinking, cracking, and mildewing.  It has been treated with water-borne polyurethane for maximum protection from scuffs, water, and other common household chemicals.

Bamboo flooring is easy to care for.  Simply sweep it regularly, and use a hardwood floor cleaner that is not diluted with water, such as Minwax® Hardwood Floor Cleaner.  If, after years of enjoyment, the finish begins to look dull, the floor can be lightly sanded and a fresh coat of water-borne polyurethane may be applied.
